Golf has long been known
as an expensive sport. After green fees, cart fees, caddie fees, and more, it
can empty your pockets in a hurry. But the most important and expensive part of
your game is typically your golf clubs. The question has often been asked. How
much should I expect to spend on my clubs? Well, that depends on who you are
and what kind of golfer you are.

invest a small fortune in your first set of clubs.
And the reality is that you set drop $1,300.00 or
better on a set of golf clubs.
Yes, you can easily spend that much on a new set of
premium golf clubs. In fact, if you should choose

While celebrities such

all own a set, these clubs are not well known in the
US but are renowned in Japan.
Oftentimes people get caught in the trap of thinking
that the most expensive golf equipment will ensure
you the best game of golf. Not true at all. If
you’re game isn’t so hot then people will not be
fooled no matter how much your clubs cost. They
will know the first time they get a look at your
golf swing. So, again, how much should you spend on
your clubs?
Truthfully, if you are a beginner golfer and need
clubs to simply learn the game, shopping second hand
might be the best choice for you. You can purchase
a used set of clubs for under or around $100.00 and
that’s just about the right price if you really
don’t have your feet wet in the game. And there are
tons of places where you can buy used. From eBay to
Yahoo Auctions to the brick and mortar store “Play

If you want to purchase retail and new, but still
want to start with a smaller budget, Wal-Mart sells
a Wilson set of clubs for $170.00. No, they are not
top of the line so they’re not for someone who is
concerned about their image on the course, but
they’ll certainly be fine for starting out. If,
once you’ve improved and have gotten bitten by the
golf bug like the rest of us, then set your sites on
a more upscale set of Nike irons for $700.00.
